A few things to keep in mind.

Terms, in plain sight.

Cosmic gives your thoughts a place to land. These terms explain how to use the app and website responsibly, and where other services come in.

1. Scope and app licensing

These terms describe use of the Cosmic To Do website and the support and optional features provided by Jorge Garza. By using the website or these services, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using them.

The license for an App Store download is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, unless a separate custom license is provided with the app. These website terms do not replace that agreement or change your rights under it. TestFlight use is also subject to Apple’s applicable beta-testing terms.

2. What Cosmic provides

Cosmic To Do is a personal productivity app for notes, photos, drawings, tasks, and optional reminders on an open canvas. The current app is free and does not require a Cosmic account. There is no Cosmic-hosted cloud-sync or canvas-recovery service. Internet access may be needed for optional provider services, downloads, or support.

The website currently describes a beta app that is not yet publicly released on the App Store. Features and availability may change as development continues. This page does not promise a release date, future feature, or ongoing compatibility with every device or service.

3. Your content stays yours

You keep the rights you hold in the notes, photos, drawings, and other content you add. Merely using the local canvas does not give us ownership of it or permission to publish it. Use content you own or have permission to use, and respect other people’s privacy and intellectual-property rights.

If you send support messages or feedback, you allow us to use that material to respond, troubleshoot, and improve the app, as described in the privacy policy. Don’t include someone else’s private information without permission.

4. Reminders and calendars are optional

Reminder delivery depends on iOS, permissions, device settings, and scheduling limits. Calendar export depends on access to a writable calendar. A local calendar save is not a guarantee of synchronization with your provider. Cosmic is not an emergency service or a substitute for a safety-critical alarm or record.

Check important dates and keep another reliable method for critical commitments. Exported calendar events can remain after an item is completed or the calendar connection is disconnected. Review deletion choices and your calendar provider’s settings.

5. Backups and beta use

Your canvas is stored on your device. Keep a .doodledo export somewhere safe before deleting the app, changing devices, or testing recovery. Exports contain optimized image copies, not original photos. Retain photo-library originals separately when you need them.

Beta software can have errors, change, or become unavailable. TestFlight builds expire. Do not use a beta as the only place to keep irreplaceable information. We cannot restore a canvas we never received.

6. Reasonable use and third-party services

Use the website, support channels, and app lawfully. Don’t attempt to compromise systems, interfere with other users, distribute malicious material, or use our support channels to harass others. Rights and restrictions relating to the app itself remain governed by its applicable license.

Apple, Vercel, email providers, and calendar providers operate their own services under their own terms and policies. Links are provided for convenience. We do not control those providers or guarantee their availability.

7. Availability and your legal rights

We work to make Cosmic useful and reliable, but the website and support information may contain errors or be unavailable from time to time. We do not promise uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that the app will meet every need. Any app-specific warranty and liability provisions are those in the applicable app license.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, warranties, or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer rights. These terms do not require arbitration or waive a right to bring a claim that the law protects.

8. Updates and contact

We may revise these terms to reflect changes to the website, services, or applicable requirements. The effective date above identifies the current version. Where the law requires additional notice or agreement, we will provide it.
